I’m a human-centered researcher, trained in Latin American Cultural Studies, passionate about designing impactful and inclusive experiences. Originally from Peru, I came to the U.S. to pursue my PhD at Yale, where I researched affect and emotions in Latin America. Until 2021, I worked as a Professor of Hispanic Studies at the College of William & Mary, where I designed and taught courses on topics such as race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality and trauma and cultural memory. I am currently working at Duke University, as an Academic Program Coordinator and a UX Researcher at U.S. Digital Response.
